About a year and a half ago I started a page on Facebook called: “Free Hand-Free Mind”. This page aims to delve into the relationship between a virtual and a concrete concept, the role of sketch in the design process, how a designer can be able to perceive his or her surroundings in order to inscribe them on a piece of paper and finally to realize them. The role of sketch becomes even more significant in this digital age, because sketching is the shortest way between “Mind” and “Hand”, but who wants to utilize this shortest way has to work on the skills related to drawing and sketching, to walk around, watch, and sketch more and more. After a short time, you’ll have a very rich “Visual Diary” which will help you to remember the spaces in details and right proportions. Here I present some of my recent works in Italy. This is the page’s link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Free-Hand-Free-Mind/179108972132569
